The Romanticims Elements in The Twilight Saga: New Moon Film (2009)

ABSTRACT

Romanticism is a combination of words romantic and criticsm which together build romanticism. The romantics try to express and savor the beauty in the simplicities of live, symbolizing as spirit of revolt and yearning for the establishment of new standards. There are some points that categorized as romanticism elements which are nature, imagination, return to the middle age, and reality. Thus, these ideas were adapted in this research. The data of this research were the dialogue, action, word, and picture based on the film. The data analyzed by using the romanticism elements that provided by Geeta Goswami The data that categorized as the part of romanticism elements was analyzed by using literary elements which are setting, character, and point of view. The results of this research showed that the romanticism elements that exposed in the film are nature, imagination, return to the middle age, and reality.
